Etobicoke Quilters Guild:

August 21st – 23rd and September 3rd, 5th, & 7th

• Hand appliqué is the art of hand-stitching fabric shapes onto a background fabric to create decorative designs.

York Heritage Quilters Guild:

August 25th & 26th and September 1st & 2nd

• August 25^th & September 1^st: Hand Piecing and Hand Quilting
  • Hand Piecing: The traditional art of sewing individual fabric pieces together by hand to create intricate quilt blocks and patterns.
  • Hand Quilting: The process of stitching through layers of fabric and batting by hand to add texture, detail, and a beautiful, finished look to a quilt.
• August 26^th & September 2^nd: English Paper Piercing
  • English Paper Piecing: A hand-sewing technique where fabric is wrapped around paper templates and stitched together to create precise, intricate quilt designs.

Region of York Quilters Guild:

September 4th & 6th

• Demonstrating the piecing of quilt blocks, utilizing the vintage sewing machines and/or computerized sewing machines.

Yorkshire Rose Quilters Guild:

August 27th & 30th

• There will be demonstrations of various techniques and skills including hand piecing, appliqué, hexagons, and quilt as you go.  There will also be samples of projects in progress or completed.

Toronto Sewing School

August 21 – 24^th, 28^th, 29^th, 31^st & September 3^rd, 5^th, and 6^th

• Workshop: Hands-on sewing demonstrations from 10am-12pm and 1pm-4pm each day
